As the final phase of the construction chain, the commissioning is subject to particular time constraints as any delay may have dire consequences for schedule observance. This means that careful preparation and perfect organisation play a particularly crucial role.

Generally speaking, the commissioning is not confined to just ensuring that the plant and its components operate correctly. Rather, it is necessary to determine that all specifications which have been defined are satisfied under production conditions.

Early integration of the operator in the commissioning process allows the functions of the individual components to be demonstrated far more effectively than in the form of theoretical training, thus providing the operating staff with a solid grounding in the operation of the plant.
